A forklift to be a successful model should be built powerful to last the working environments for many hours of use. It must be able to move loads effectively and quickly as well. The equipment should also be both ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
The Yale powertrain is reliable and rugged. It has to be powerful enough to constantly provide incredible durability through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with robust gears and really tough shafts. The transmission, engine, drive and steer axle are all isolated to decrease both vibration and noise inside of the operator's compartment.
GM & Mazda Gas & LP Engines:
GM's gas engines and Mazda's LP engine use cast iron blocks to promote long life. These machines provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which requires minimum repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that minimize wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Inside the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides excellent torque. Amazing fuel consumption is provided by efficient fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The regular Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears which are 15 percent stronger and shafts which maximize resistance to rough driving. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available which adjusts automatically so as to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system uses a computer-controlled power reversal which increases durability, extends tire life, and minimizes shock loading. Furthermore, the auto deceleration feature lessens both brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
Designed for added durability, the drive axle features its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are entirely sealed against contamination and practically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to protect the steer cylinder from debris and damage. It has fixed-length tie rods to add more stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. Also, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and lessens wear.
Yale had made a lot of ergonomic features and safety features part of their regular packages. These kinds of equipment would handle tough environments, while keeping the operator safe and comfortable for the length of their shift.
