Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is essentially a motorized version of a pallet jack. They come in both "Walkie" models as well as "Rider" versions.
Like what the name implies, the walkie model is designed for the operator to walk alongside with the unit while they transport cargo. The Rider model however, uses a small platform wherein the operator stands on. The rider models are great for frequent transporting of loads over extended distances within manufacturing applications and warehouses. They are extremely fast and maneuverable.
It is important to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and thus, it is not recommended to transport tall or unstable loads using these machinery. A rider can be the right answer if you are searching for a cheap method for moving cargo from point A to point B. If though, you should transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to use a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model might be the right choice.
Order Selector
An Order Selector also goes by the name of Order picker. This machine is particularly made for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load with a purpose to facilitate manual unloading and loading from racking areas.
Typically, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which could work in smaller aisles. They are extremely useful pieces of machine in cycle counting situations as well as in physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
