Established during 1920, FM GRU Tower Cranes began as a family business within the Northern Italy's biggest industrial location. In the 1950s, when the farming economy was evolving into an industrial and manufacturing economy, the company was working in the metal structural sector and welded construction industries. FMgru was involved in building bridges for roads, pylons to convey electricity, different types of forklifts, presses, prefabrication molds and farming equipments.
The business started crane production in the year 1963. Over time, the company pooled all of its resources into this one activity. The target of this streamlining was to reach the highest specialization level in the field of lifting.
