Engineered for Safety
Yale has a great history for providing safe lift trucks that are suitable for a variety of uses. The ability to produce and design units for better safety comes from the new technology which is available in the material handling industry and the company's experience.
Yale likes to incorporate new technology that is available into their latest designs. Several of the new technologies that are available are first applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through durability testing and functionality. The company performs numerous reliability development and controlled field tests in order to ensure their products are very safe.
Some of Yale's innovative designs and technology which has been integrated as standard features for their fleet so as to improve overall safety include the following:
Operator Compartment Controls and Ergonomics
The operator compartment has been engineered with ergonomics in mind, using state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids heavy repetitive motions as well as fatigue. These extra comforts help to increase overall production.
Adjustable Operators Compartment and Controls
Adjustable operator controls allow the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the machine user friendly, regardless of who is utilizing it. Prior to beginning their shift, the operator can make certain he or she is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
The Operator Presence System prevents the hydraulic system operation from being operated if the operator is not in the correct operating position. This presence system additionally disables directional travel on trucks which have internal combustion engines.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The LPG tank has a drop down design that brings it out from the vehicle's center to the natural handling position of the operator that makes it way easier to change.
