Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck providing great height and versatility. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Regular forklifts aren't able to move the cargo towards and away from the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to lift staff. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain which is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
