Change an LPG Cylinder
There are various kinds of sources that could power forklifts. They could run using LP gas or liquid propane, gasoline, diesel or battery. LP is a clean burning fuel preferred for numerous applications. There are some facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This enables forklifts to be refueled whenever they require. In other places, the facility will have spare LP cylinders which can be changed out when the machinery needs to be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you must truly be careful in order to avoid possible serious injuries. Like for instance: be certain to wear the correct safety equipment such as heavy gloves, goggles or safety glasses. Make certain that you turned off the forklift ignition prior to changing out the tank. Next, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is closed firmly. Utilize your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Don't forget that it will turn in the opposite direction of a normal connection and never utilize a metal tool or any kind of wrench on these connections. They are meant to be tightened by hand only.
